Steve Scifo And Logan Frick’s First News Show
In the early stages of their career, Steve Scifo and Logan Frick decided to telecast a new, and their first show, which was named as “Good Morning UCI”. They tried to make their opening sequence same as Saturday Night Live with just few changes. Instead of the city shots, they did a beach shot and instead of restaurants of New York City they opted for Newport restaurants, but the jazz music and the applause were same as Saturday Night live.
Logan as a host and with Steve Scifo UCI reporting, the show was a big hit. Logan used imitation as a warm form of flattery and also a strong weapon against their competitor. They wanted to copy the Saturday Night Live, but except the opening scenes, the two shows have nothing in common. Both of them were proud about this fact.
Their show was divided into many segments like Food review, Entertainment and Art, and also health. Food review was handled by Daniel and Tyler, Mike covered Entertainment and Art and lastly Andrew Vo took the charge of Health segment, whereas Steve Scifo and his friend, and partner, Logan devoted their 3 weeks in editing and filming a 10 minutes video featuring their cast and themselves.
With the increase of their popularity, demand and budget they started covering more and more segments such as UC budget cuts, Concerts, games, sports, and even exclusive interviews of artists like Charles Hamilton and B.o.B. They also started covering UCI philanthropic events as well as Greek events. They got a huge fan following and regular viewers in no time just because they were interactive, fun and interesting. Irrespective of the fact that it takes lot of time to make one show, they continued doing the work only because they loved doing it.
The ninth episode was a 5 hours film, which was edited and brought down to 10 minutes and contained only the appealing scenes. This kind of work made Steve Scifo UCI best in his field of work. He knows what people want to hear and watch and that is exactly what he delivers.
